Our Staff
Shelley E. Griffin, CMM is the founder and president of Griffin
Conference Group. She is a well-respected industry leader with over
twenty years of experience. In 2009 she was one of 42 to earn the Global
Certification in Meeting Management (CMM) which is the most prestigious
designation in the meetings and event industry.
Prior to establishing GCG, Shelley served as the Conference Manger for
the Archaeological Institute of America. She also taught “Negotiating
Techniques for Meeting Professionals” in the Meeting Management
Certificate Program at Bentley College.
Shelley led in the establishment of the New England Chapter of the
Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) and served as its
first president. She is an active member of both PCMA and Meeting
Professionals International (MPI). Shelley has a degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin.
Lauren Lombardi, Project Manager
Lauren brings over 10 years of experience which includes
managing numerous industry trade shows and conference groups. In
addition, she has 5 years of print production experience, both with
electronic layout and working with print vendors. She holds a B.S. in
Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island, where she
double majored in Marketing and Management.
Ellen Sullivan, Project Manager
Ellen Sullivan began her professional career in retail management.
Following that, Ellen transitioned to event planning and has over 13
years of experience, primarily with fundraising campaigns. Ellen has a
degree in Biology from Bucknell University.
